Meet the Founders
Rose
Randolph, is one of North America's top visionaries on women's
empowerment. She along with her husband, Ernest are the founders of
SetFree Indeed! Empowerment Center, Inc., a 501(c)3 nonprofit
community development corporation inspired and designed to empower
men and women previously incarcerated. Many of these men and women
have found themselves trapped by a myriad of abuses; be it physical,
emotional or chemical substance.
For eighteen years, Ernest
and Rose held Bible studies, special training and Evangelistic
outreach programs at the Baltimore City Detention Center, Women's
Detention Center, Maryland Correctional Institution for Women,
Maryland Annex for Men, St. Ambrose Pre-Release Center and the
Baltimore Pre-Release Unit for Women. Hundreds of lives were changed
as a result of these programs, but not maintained when the men
and women returned to their communities. After carefully examining
these results, the decision was made to develop
TRANSITIONAL/RE-ENTRY PROGRAMS. Starting with women these
services would consists of Housing, Comprehensive Human
Development, Mentoring, Entrepreneurship Training and Career
Development. The goal is to train and develop women previously
incarcerated to return to her family and community as a loving,
caring, self-supporting and productive citizen. Thus, the birth of
SetFree Indeed! Empowerment Center, Inc.
Like many of the men and
women Ernest and Rose have encountered, they too have personally
experienced and overcame the pain and suffering of these same
abuses. Today, Ernest and Rose are committed to training and
developing men and women to experience and become all they desire
through proven, structured programs specifically written from a
practical and spiritual perspective.
